Remover Tool Guide
Complete guide to the Remover tool in Garry's Mod - delete props, contraptions, and constraints
Remover Tool
The Remover tool deletes props, entire contraptions, and constraints. Essential for cleanup and fixing mistakes.
Basic Controls
| Action | What It Does |
|---|---|
| Left-click | Remove single prop |
| Right-click | Remove prop + all connected/constrained props |
| Reload (R) | Remove constraints only (keep prop) |
Removal Modes
Single Prop (Left-click)
Deletes only the prop you click. Connected props stay.
Contraption (Right-click)
Removes the clicked prop AND everything constrained to it:
- Welded props
- Roped props
- Axis/ballsocket connected props
- Parented props
Be Careful
Right-click can delete much more than expected if things are heavily constrained together.
Constraints Only (Reload)
Removes all constraints attached to the prop but keeps the prop itself:
- Welds
- Ropes
- Axes
- Ballsockets
- NoCollides
Useful for freeing a welded prop without deleting it.
Tips
Solution: Press Z to undo. Works for most removals.
Cause: Prop protection addon or admin-spawned.
Solution: Ask the prop owner or admin to remove it.
Solution: Use the Precision Tool in Removal mode for selective constraint removal (e.g., only welds, only ropes).
