Moonshine Distilling Guide
Complete guide to moonshine brewing (Yeastbeast alcohol script) on Justified DarkRP - fermentation, distillation, and profit tips
Moonshine Distilling
Moonshine distilling is a multi-stage criminal production job. You'll grind yeast, ferment mash, manage a distillery, and sell your product to the buyer NPC. It requires active attention but rewards skilled players with consistent income.
Criminal Activity
Moonshine production is illegal. Police can raid your operation and you'll need a secure base. This job requires constant attention — the distillery can explode if mismanaged.

The Production Process
Preparing the Yeast
Buy a Yeast Block and Paper Bag from the F4 menu
Place the Yeast Block in the Grinder
Grind it — Hold E on the grinder to process (or use a Grinder Motor for automation)
Collect in Paper Bag — Ground yeast fills the attached bag
VIP Automation
VIP+ players can purchase a Grinder Motor that automates grinding at twice the speed.

Tips for Success
Run 2 barrels in rotation — one fermenting while you process the other. Doubles your throughput.
This is the "perfect heat" zone and gives you a 2x production bonus. Stay in this range as much as possible.
Water above 40°C causes 80% efficiency loss. Flush it regularly before it gets too hot.
Grind yeast and fill paper bags while waiting for fermentation. VIP motor makes this automatic.
Dirty equipment runs at 50% efficiency. Clean barrels after each batch and upgrades every few batches.
Load up a full palette before selling. Less trips = less time exposed to raids.
You're vulnerable while managing gauges. Hidden location, proper defenses, escape routes.
Common Problems
Cause: Pressure went above 99.
Solution: Watch your pressure gauge constantly. Use the pressure valve to release pressure before it hits the danger zone.
Possible causes:
- Pressure outside 40-80 range (missing 2x bonus)
- Cooler water above 40°C (80% efficiency loss)
- Dirty equipment (50% efficiency loss)
Solution: Maintain optimal pressure, flush hot water, clean your equipment.
Cause: All moonshine equipment is removed if you disconnect or change jobs.
Solution: This is intended behavior. Don't disconnect mid-production.
Cause: You're too far away.
Solution: Position your palette or crates within range of the NPC before pressing E.
Cause: You need to physically move the barrel with significant velocity.
Solution: Pick it up with the Gravity Gun and shake/swing it vigorously. Watch the progress meter.
Quick Tips
- Pressure gauge: Keep it in the green zone (middle of the gauge) for best production
- Cooler: Flush water when it gets hot — you'll see efficiency drop if you ignore it
- Shaking: Pick up the barrel and physically move it — the progress bar shows when you're done
- Explosion risk: If pressure goes into the red zone, your distillery will explode
- Dirty equipment: Clean regularly or production slows way down
- Max equipment: You can only own 2 barrels and 1 distillery at a time
- NPC prices fluctuate: Check prices before selling big batches
